Achilles strain forced woods to withdrwa

It had been 4:40 Sunday afternoon when he left the Doral resort, site of the WGC-Cadillac Championship. About Ten mins roughly earlier, Woods had hit his best drive of Sunday's final round, a towering 321-yard tee shot that landed within the fairway of 12th fairway.

Though the grimace instantly gave it away. Then came the tough lean against his driver shaft. He was hurt.

Woods waited until his playing partner Webb Simpson hit his tee shot. The real key shook hands with Simpson and said, "I've got to will end up in."

A cart was called and soon Woods and Ping G20 driver LaCava were adopted a back path to the players' parking area. After which he was gone. An announcement by Woods was issued later:

"I felt tightness during my left Achilles warm up this morning plus it continued to obtain progressively worse. ... During the past, I'll have attempted to continue to play, but now I decided to accomplish some tips i thought was necessary."

There have been no other details, besides Woods said he expects to have the Achilles evaluated soon. Hmmm.

What does all of it mean? Maybe nothing, why not a lot.

The truth that Woods discount golf clubs limped off of the course in lieu of grind with the final seven holes is telling. At the very least, he what food was in considerable pain and concerned with injuring it further. Why risk missing next month's Masters, right?

At the most, he's worried there will be something more to it. Remember, a knee and Achilles strain forced him to miss four months with the 2011 season.

In accordance with Paul Tesori, Simpson's caddie, Woods began "hobbling" while playing the 4th hole. As his limp became more noticeable, Woods changed shoes in the turn. LaCava told Tesori ping g15 irons that Woods' Achilles was "puffed up and swollen somewhat."

Despite Woods striping his decrease the centre of the absolutely no. 12 fairway, Tesori said "you could see he gimped it over the ball. ... It really looked like he flinched, to be honest along. That was the very first time he showed true pain, kind of in their face."
